Corona hits us refugees particularly hard. Above all, our sisters and brothers, our children, who are on the move at the borders of Europe in search of a safe place, are living in a nightmare. Our families and acquaintances whom we have had to leave behind in our countries of origin are, in addition to the pandemic, perhaps additionally affected by wars or the economic consequences of the pandemic or sanctions. They are struggling to survive every day. Maybe they are also affected by the persecution of dictatorial regimes that forbid them to organise and stand up for their rights as workers, women, pupils and students or teachers.
We want to analyse the situation from different aspects and discuss it together: What is it like to be a refugee in Germany? Under which living conditions do we live here? What injustices are we confronted with? What can we do together? Since we can neither travel nor meet, we want to offer virtual spaces to exchange, have joint discussions and look for ways to defend our rights. If other issues seem more important to you and you want to discuss and develop solutions with communities in solidarity, please tell us about them. Together we can look back on 500 years of resistance against colonialism, imperialism and injustice and bring our experiences into future struggles in solidarity, regardless of origin, language, religion, gender, age, …

Who are we?

We are CARAVAN for the rights of refugees and migrants. We organise ourselves and take care of our concerns together. Since 1998, we have been fighting in Germany for our basic rights, against deportations, against exploitation, against racism, against isolation and police brutality and against any kind of injustice… The slogan “We are here because you are destroying our countries” has accompanied us since our existence, because the global colonial and imperialist order determines our lives and forces us to flee. We rebel against this everywhere and strengthen ourselves through solidarity action.
Since 2004, we have been continuously active together with the Federation of Migrant Workers from Turkey in Germany AGIF and other migrant self-organisations in Wuppertal. Before Corona we had a weekly open meeting. This is no longer possible, so we now organise online meetings.

Note for all communities

The events are only for people with refugee experience. All discussions will take place via the zoom channel of THE VOICE Refugee Forum. Please contact us if you want to participate. Let us know which language you speak so that we can organise translations together beforehand. We will send you the link before the event.

How can we be reached?

We speak German, English, Farsi, French, Kurdish, Turkish. If you speak another language, we will ask friends and organise this as well.
Send us an email or a message to the phone numbers below:

Ein kurzer Bericht von KARAWANE – A short report by KARAWANE

-ENGLISH BELOW-

Reflection on the crisis of racism in Germany and Europe: Refugee-Migrants struggle is the solution

Statement by Osaren Igbinoba of The Voice – Refugee Forum (Community Network)

Critics on crisis of racism in Europe: Refugee-Migrants struggle is the solution.

Most protests of the non-refugees and supporters’ struggles are often polarized to dominate and to neglect the autonomous struggles of the refugees political communities. Even demonstrations and Conferences continue to ignore the refugee community agenda for autonomy and liberation. We are resolute that the community agenda for autonomy and liberation is the Challenge of our Time! Taking our struggles beyond political socialization of the oppressed community is a task ahead of us.

My reflection:

When I read the titles of the protest calls „Against deportation, exclusion & AfD“ I had to take a long and deep breath, because I could not imagine AfD to be presented as the main problem of deportation and discrimination of refugees and migrants in Germany. It was like another beginning of the worst ignorance in the protest movement. It is totally wrong to ignore any political party in their crusade for deportation and social exclusion.

In my opinion we should do more to see the struggles beyond political socialization without clear positions for public interest in our protest against the deportation regimes and with deep reflection on the deportation culture of the German / European citizens beyond the the political establishment of any parties in Europe.

Instead I see the tendency of dancing to play the good cops and the bad cops and on the other side reducing the struggle to humanitarian politics between integration in the refugee lagers and deportation prisons without positioning against the crimes of deportation and racism politically.

The revolution and the change we want is in ourselves and not from any political establishments or party.

My general critics on the antiracist movement: It is time to open a new page on the actual polarization of the struggle against racism which was amplified with discussion on critical whiteness by ignoring the violence culture of whiteness against other race.

There cannot be concrete struggle aginst racism without reference to Black African People and Black African continent, it is same that you cannot speak of the holocaust without mentioning the Jews even if they were not the only victims.

Racism is the “subjugation” of the Black Africans worldwide that was executed by the European elites with their racist education. The gravity of racism is beyond just selections and discrimination. Racism was the “iron gate” to genocide and extinction of the Black race that led to the deaths of millions and slavery which were continued with colonial occupation.

Ignoring the root cause of racism is like escaping the reality of the struggle we stand to fight against.

“Is the AfD an alternative anti-deutsche? For their anti-Muslim movement to compliment their pro imperialist crusade” We need an answer.

Therefore I would like to appeal to all activists to do more by analysing the crimes of deportations and racism beyond political literatures and poetries, and not to polarize further our struggles in dignity.

I do welcome any comment on my critics, your contribution and your analysis of the crimes of deportation and racism for the “refugee black box” manifestation.

This text is not intentionally written to undermine nor to discredit the solidarity with refugees but we have a choice to empower the autonomous struggles of the refugee / oppressed communities in anywhere are organized.

Power up in your struggles and fire up in solidarity.

Osaren Igbinoba

Stop Deportation Parade! In Protest against the G20 Summit and the wars against Refugees Jena

by Voice Refugee Forum Jena

Saturday, June 24, 2017 – 13:00

Jena Demonstration 24.06.2017 | Stop All Deportations | Smash the G20 Summit of Vampires and Mothers of all bombs

Refugee Solidarity Parade
Rally at 1pm | Demonstration at 4pm | Meeting point in Johannisplatz, Jena

At 5pm in JenaOptic in Carl-Zeiss Strasse, there will be a symbolic memorial in protest against the multinational military arms production and Weapon Export by JenaOptik on the war on refugees: With a solidarity parade to pay eternal respect to the victims of wars and the barbaric European migration regimes symbolized by the deadly, murderous and militarized control apparatus that is FRONTEX…

We demand a new order of solidarity in our struggles! „We are here because you destroy our countries“

We calling to protest the summit of G7 / G20 conference in Hamburg on the 6th and 7th of July this year. The So called „leaders“ of the WORLD war military arsenals are meeting to use the summit to clean the bloods on their hands, to celebrate their war crimes and to legitimize their global exploitation, the proxy wars and the terrors in the refugee countries.

The world leaders are too corrupted to ignore the wealth of the African nations and the refugee countries they have always exploited. They are the living Vampires and the mothers of all bombs.

We are here because you destroy our countries, seeking safety and security and not because we love your potatoes so much. Refugees do not create wars; on the contrary wars create refugees. Your economic and extensive political interests are creating and perpetuating wars in our countries, leading to its destruction and as well as our means of livelihood. We as refugees are the result of your continued colonial ideology and exploitation, your greed and gluttony that are boundless. You may fool your citizens with empty platitudes and lies, but you won’t fool us.

Join us, your struggles is all in our fight for justice

NO MORE WAR! NO FURTHER EXPLOITATION – STOP DEPORTATION

We demand an unconditional right to residence and safety!!!
Stop the Dublin deportation Regulation
We are here and we will fight and we are here because you destroy our countries.

Stop all deportation

We call on all well-meaning individuals to join the refugees in our struggle for human dignity and security, and show solidarity.

Refugee Demonstration – 24.06 in Jena
Refugee Solidarity Rallies and Parade – Lets organize to stop the deportations!

We want to invite you to our planning meetings and events taking place in June and July with the Refugee Community in Thueringen to mobilize against the German deportation regime.

Official Invitation
Even as we continue to pay eternal respect to the victims of the barbaric European migration regimes symbolized by the deadly, murderous and militarized control apparatus that is FRONTEX…

as we continue our struggle to build solidarity and empathy with our brothers and sisters who are being brutalized and dehumanized in mainland Europe – the fictitious home of democracy, freedom and human rights…

and in the face of the continued and intensified racist attacks on refugee accommodations and refugees – who fled imperialist and capitalist wars seeking safety and human dignity…. abetted by the state by its continued erosion of refugee rights in Germany…

We want to remind the state that we refuse to live in fear and will not be intimidated by their treacherous and cynical tactics and deceptions as we fight to reclaim our freedom and human dignity. Neither the state abdication of its responsibilities to guarantee our safety and security nor the fear mongering right wing and racist arsonist will deter us. We are here and we will fight and we are here because you destroy our countries.

We are planning and organizing political meetings, workshops and Seminars and a continued documentation of the everyday lives of refugee experiences in this country. There will also be protest, rallies and protest parade in the city of Jena against deportation.

Our call, our Demands
We call on all refugees to organize to stop all deportations.
To organize and protest the continued wars of exploitation and
We demand an unconditional right to residence and safety!!!

Please contact us if you are interested to participate and we hope to follow this up with details of the plans in the next weeks.

Your story is your weapon – speak-out in solidarity with the refugee community struggles and take back your freedom now to fight for justice!

We have a Mission to bring down the deportation regime.

Join us in this task by building your community to organize and mobilize with us to do it.

Share your stories and inspire and empower others with it.

No fear!!! Fear can only create a weakness that the authorities will exploit. Stand up and fight, and others will be inspired and build solidarity accordingly.

For Freedom of Movement
Campaign Against Deportation
Stop All Deportations
Bring down the deportation regime
No compromise with Deportation

We need donations and your solidarity to carry on and finance this struggle for justice.

Refugee-Migrants Community Debate & Soliparty in Munich

Refugee Community Debate & Soliparty

Eng/Deut] 27-30.04 in Munich: Refugee-Migrants Community Announcement from Refugee Struggle For Freedom

Discussions and workshops on Solidarity, Networking, Mobilization and Community structure will begin:
At 4pm on Thursday , 27.04. To continue on 28-30.04 at 10.am in the morning.

***
Saturday / 29.04.17 / 20 h/ Kafe Marat / Refugee-Migrants Community Debate & Soliparty

While the German politics declares states like Senegal, Afghanistan or Sierra Leone as “safe”, people from these countries have to deal daily with the threat of a deportation. They are taken the opportunity to work or to educate themselves.

The panel discussion is about their experience and their survival, as well as the political resistance against these conditions. A topic will be also the hierarchical structures within the antiracist struggles – why do refugees trust German activists often more than each other? Why do many ask for help instead of fight for themselves?

Representatives of The Voice Refugee Forum (Jena), Karawane Wuppertal, Refugee Struggle for Freedom (Munich https://refugeestruggle.org/de), Refugees for Change (Frankfurt a.M.) and “Street Roots” from Berlin will be discussing. After the discussion, there is music from:
– MC Faytal (Rap, HipHop)
– Teuglife Kane (Rap, HipHop)
– Bigger Arize (Raggae)
and DJs.

There will be also nice food from Sierra Leone!

Es diskutieren Vertreter*innen von The VOICE Refugee Forum Germany (Jena), Karawane Wuppertal, Refugee Struggle for Freedom (München https://refugeestruggle.org/de), Refugees for Change (Frankfurt a.M.). und “Street Roots” from Berlin
Nach der Diskussion gibt’s Musik von – MC Faytal (Rap, HipHop)

Thueringen Based Activists Set “The Freedom Agenda” For Dr. Maqsud Aghayev in Apolda Court

"The Freedom Agenda" For Dr. Maqsud Aghayev in Apolda Court

Thueringen Base Activists Set “The Freedom Agenda” For Dr. Maqsud Aghayev in Apolda Court.
The Refugee Activist, Maqsud Aghayev was under the threat of deportation by the Foreign Office Authority in Apolda, he was unlawfully charged to court as to facilitate his deportation from Apolda, Germany.

“The case of Dr. Maqsud was very good. The Court stopped the case against him just after 10 minutes from start. The Judge didn’t even hear from Frau Ernst of the Foreign office in Apolda because the case in general was unlawful.
20 people were there from Jena and Erfurt. A journalist from OTZ was also there and took a photo at the end.” by Miloud Lahmar Cherif

Step by step we will bring down the deportation regime!

Verfahren eingestellt, wann enden die Schikanen? Bericht über den Prozess gegen Dr. Aghayev Magsud in Apolda

Thueringen Based Activists Set “The Freedom Agenda” For Dr. Maqsud Aghayev in Apolda Court

We watch you! Break Deportation!

[Testimony] The symbol of the Refugee Black box: Break the silence, break deportation by Regina Mauricia Kiwanuka

Break the silence, break deportation by Regina Mauricia

Some say that the Africans must try and forget or accept the calamities that befell the African continent. “Stop singing colonial injustices, stop singing the slave trade slogan,” they say. We all know that these calamities have not only ravaged other lands in other continents, they have succeeded in eliminating populations over populations of various nations in the course of escaping the detritus left behind by the aggressors. Today, a refugee is either burned alive in cell number 5 and forever silenced, or brutally deported and left for dead, or they are dumped here in asylum camps with horrible conditions.

That is the situation at home and abroad, and that is why refugees shall never forget and or try and accept the calamities because the old ones are being replaced with fresh ones. Refugees are ambushed here and also at home with the injustices in our homelands and the ones here in Europe.

Witnessing our brothers and sisters getting kidnapped from the shores of the African continent and dragged to faraway continents to enslave and abuse them in the most inconceivable manner that shall haunt and torment the Africans for generations to come is not something that leaves one´s memory. As if that was not enough, before the poor African peasants
could recover from the first dreadful trauma, the very same people returned in another form of enslavement known as colonialism.

The continent was demarcated to satisfy the colonial masters´ tastes and likings. The demarcation separated the populations under the divide and rule policies of the masters. Before the African people picked up the pieces to try and reorganize their continent, the resilient leaders of the continent that were to guide it back to its tracks, were killed off one by one by the same aggressors. Thomas Sankara (Burkina Faso), Kwame Nkrumah (Ghana), Patrice Lumumba (Congo), Ben. Kiwanuka (Uganda),
Stephen Biko (South Africa), the list is endless.

This confusion resulting from the selfish intrusion that tore the African continent apart during the masters´ conflict among themselves for ownership of various lands and regions, is the same tyrannical operation imposed on the minorities in the name of deportation here in the federal republic of Germany. This collision that impacted the African continent and spread on to other lands in various continents has compounded us together in a form of the minorities of the western hemisphere.

The black box symbolizes the subsequent transparency expected to emerge from all the atrocities imposed on the refugees in Europe and especially here in Germany. The black box must be broken to reveal and to correct all the wrongs subjugated to that fateful Airplane. The Airplane was enormously tampered with and killing many in the process, that reads our homelands. We are the refugees, the minorities that should be compensated within the human rights horizons, compensated for the afflictions that befell us in accordance with the black box´s findings.

The aggressive deportations, the inhuman conditions in the asylum camps, the social exclusions that shall always remind us of the apartheid, the burning of refugees like Oury Jalloh in cell number 5 in Dessau. The brutal killings of refugees within the police brutality in the form of serving and protecting the citizens, the various forms of psychological torment are all patterns of brutal and greedy exploitation.

This interprets that the Berlin conference of 1884 to 1885 that begun the colonial journey is tantamount to the FRONTEX. The FRONTEX is the killer whale to the refugees, just as the horrible nightmare of colonialism affected all refugees and destroyed their countries. FRONTEX is another REPRODUCTION of the same exploitation and infringement, because this time the invasion to our numerous countries whether colonized or not has a different formula.

Silence is not an option, it is a non-existing phrase in our understanding. The ancestors in those days had no voice, they were
attacked and destroyed right before their very eyes, some were even caught unaware. This is another generation that is expected to respect humanity for proper reconstruction and to eradicate the ignorance of the society on the abuses and crimes of the deportation regimes and to unfold the colonial injustices of the system up to this day. WE WILL RISE كُلّﻪ ما تَمامْ

WE WILL RISE كُلّﻪ ما تَمامْ Exhibition and Archive in Progress
WE WILL RISE gives a space for reflection for the people of the refugee movement aswell as an exchange with people who are not (yet) part of the movement. It is a growing exhibition and archive. It focusses especially on the time since the tent actions and the protest march from Würzburg to Berlin, the protest camp on Oranienplatz and the squatting of the former school in Ohlauerstr. It has the aim to make history visible and accessible and to use it for the present and the future. The exhibition
and archive is just a beginning. It can only grow if you take part in it and add what is important to you. We want to struggle together with you for a permanent place for this work.

WE WILL RISE كُلّﻪ ما تَمامْ

27. bis 29. Januar 2017 in Jena – Thüringen.
Save the date!

Samstagabend:

– (Break Deportation Culture – Deportation is criminal and we fight to stop it!
