Beginn: 17:30 Uhr, Martinskirche (Stadtzentrum)

Stopp aller Abschiebungen! Für Bewegungsfreiheit!

On 8th October 2016 the protest march of the group “Refugee Struggle for Freedom” has started in Munich and will end on 21st October in Nuremberg

This protest march is aimed to mobilize and organize against the delay and refusal of Refugee Application for protection by the Federal office for Migration – (Bundesamt für Migration) and Refugee Asylum in Nueremberg.

The VOICE refugee Forum Germany, together with the recently founded VOICE Refugee Forum Bavaria and the „Community of Refugee political activists in Bavaria“ stand in solidarity with the “Refugees struggle for freedom group” and we will give

Our goal is to organize with self-organisation of refugees and their Communities against the Apartheid in isolation camps and Lagers that leads to suicide and trauma and to empower the political Networks and struggles in the camps. We demand solidarity in the protest against the collective punishments through the racist persecution of refugees in Germany. We demand the abolition of the residence obligation (Residenzpflicht) and of the segregation of refugees in lagers, camps and deportation prisons. We stand for freedom of movement for all, deportation stop and for the end of all discriminatory laws against refugees. We are united against any form of colonial injustice and social exclusion of refugees and people without rights in Germany.

We are in solidarity with the “Refugees struggle for freedom” because their demands are also our demands and the refugee protest is our and all refugees’ struggle.

On the Move! Power Up, in solidarité!!

Let’s Unite – The REFUGEE is the movement and our Community is our defense in Europe: The “VOICE” Declaration on Protest March

The Voice Refugee Forum declaration on Protest March Munich to Nuremberg“The REFUGEE is the movement and our Community is our defense in Europe”
by Osaren Igbinoba of The VOICE Refugee Forum.

The REFUGEE is the movement and our community is our defense! The struggles of the refugees to organize in communities are a strategic and political move to ensure a participatory and representative position within and outside, in any progressive grassroot movement.

We are now in the belly of the monster. They want us to become their soldiers, to make them more powerful in their colonial systems. We know why we are here and we will never forget the people we have left behind in our homelands. We are in solidarity especially with those who are still on the the other side of the borders, fighting against terrible conditions only to survive one more day.

We are calling for the stop of all deportations and for freedom of movement for all.

The ongoing protest march is not the first organized by the „Refugee struggle for freedom“ and will not be the last refugee protest march in Bavaria. This protest will go a long way to empower the resistance of refugees in Bavaria as it strengthens our self-determination and makes our unity visibility in the refugee communities nationwide.

The refugee community is in movement and as we network together, we find immediate solution to problems. Through our coordinated protests and engagements let us work to unite and organise ourselves!

Those who are presently destroying our homelands are those who claim they are giving us shelter and residence! Those who are splitting, dividing our societies and provoking wars between our people, now are those who claim integrating us to their society! They claim that they are generous? People with material wealth are not generous, else they won’t be rich. Only the poor are generous, for they know what it means to have nothing.

We call on refugees to distance themselves from the pro-states institutions, organisations and political parties who feed and comfort themselves from the miseries and plights of the refugee. These networks have one thing in commom: they unite to depoliticize the struggles of activists within the movement. We know them when they call for a humanitarian solution while calling for and supporting massive deportations and isolation of refugees.

In reality they are keeping their deportation sword over our heads. They are also dividing us to “good” or “bad”, and “deserved” or “not deserved” refugees. They have still more tricks; they talk about the danger of Pegida and islamists, a prototype of the war produced by the very act of their system in Middle-east and Africa.

They expect us, the marginalized masses, to forget what they are really doing, tricking us into a schism with some of us being given better positions under their rule.

Our protests are more than 2 decades now and our resilience and resolve is unstoppable. For many years, we have shown our anger and without this, we would not have witnessed some changes although minimal in our treatment as humans. Since the defacto abolition of the 1993 rights for asylum in Germany, there have never been changes without struggles from the refugee communities. The refugee struggles built on the demand for justice cannot be completed without us the refugees and the community activists in the society.

Now, we are witnessing once more the refugee community in Bayern „REFUGEE STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM“, on the move from 8.-21.October this year, from Munich towards Nürenberg (the head quarter of the Federal Office for Migration in Germany). We are joining and calling on other refugees to unite in this protest to realise the refugee demands the for unconditional residence and open border, in protest against the unhuman conditions under which we live.

This is a protest march and a way to bring us together because our unity is our power. When we come together we find out all of us suffer from the same pain. We can exchange our experiences and we can organize our unity.

Come to this march or support it in your localities and by your words. Freedom and dignity are never going to be given to us as a present, we can have them through our collective struggles.

Statement of The VOICE Refugee Forum Bavaria:
In solidarity with the “Refugee Struggle for Freedom” protest march from Munich to Nuremberg 2016,

We demand for unconditional Residence – Stop all deportations – For Freedom of Movement!!!

March starts on 8th October in Munich to end on 21st October in Nuremberg

The protest march is aimed to mobilize and organize against the delay and refusal of Refugee Application for protection by the Federal office for Migration – (Bundesamt für Migration) and Refugee Asylum in Nueremberg.

“Refugees struggle for freedom group – We will continue to fight until we achieve our goal.”

Our Community of Refugee political activists in Bavaria stand in Solidarity with the “Refugees struggle for freedom group” for the upcoming Refugees Protest march on the 8th October 2016, from Munich to Nuremberg

From The VOICE Refugee Forum Bavaria, we give full support to the upcoming Munich to Nuremberg protest march. We refugees here fight for our rights, strengthen each other and together we will defend our dignity. We are also human beings and deserve respect and dignity like any human being. By coming together, we will continue to learn from each other, develop our strength by continued self-empowerment to overcome the different faces of injustice in Europe.

Most of us are victims of war, violence and greedy exploitation. Some of us lost our families and many of us are separated from their children, wives and husbands, while countless numbers of us died on the journey to Europe under the watchful eyes of FRONTEX. As a result, many of us remain traumatized today.

Yet, instead of being given the necessary therapeutic and other necessary support, we are discriminated against, subjected to various forms of psychological and physical torture, and expected to gratefully accept our unspoken label of subhuman – „Untermensch“ in the name of refugees. Maybe because, here we do not have bombs raining on us anymore. We are here because western leaders and their countries destroyed our lands. They make our lands their colonies and captured our freedom, our life resources. We are here because of war inside our lands and our lives and homes have been demolished. We are here because our political and economic systems are corrupt and supported by the West.

Our goal is to organize with self-organisation of refugees and their Communities against the Apartheid in isolation camps and Lagers and to empower the political Networks and struggles in the camps. The self-determination of the refugees for auto-liberation from institutional racism and discrimination is clearly defined; We will unite to form a block against suicidal acts and traumas in Isolation lagers. We demand solidarity in protest against the collective punishments through the racist persecution of refugees in Germany. We demand the abolition of the Residence Obligation (Residenzpflicht) and the segregation of refugees in Lagers, camps and Deportation prisons. Illegalisation of our Protest

3:30 pm

Now demonstration of people in solidarity starts at Neupfarrplatz, that will meet us on our way. On this place Non-Citizens were figthing for right to stay from 11th July till 6th of September 2012 and from 15th July till 21st of July 2013.

Later both demonstrations meet. However, we will be spending the night outdoors at Dultplatz, in spite of the freezing temperatures. We had been promised access to an indoor location, that has been retracted because the office of Regensburg’s major graded the march as “illegal action”.

This proceeding shows once again how the world illegalises our lives. Again and again, we have been forced to live in slavery, as third class people. Despite official registration and several cooperation talks, our protest and our struggle for freedom and dignity is illegalised. Of course, our protest is illegal in the eyes of the authorities, because people are motivated to fight for their rights. We demand that our lives matter too. We won’t remain silent any longer. No human being is illegal. Right to stay everywhere.

Saturday, 15th of October Regensburg – Hemau

Five Borders

15th of October, 2016, Hemau
7th day of the Protest March

So today, we are on our way to Nuremberg. We have just crossed five cities. It is as if we have crossed five borders, one after another. From suffering to easiness, some have welcomed us comfortably, others didn’t even want to listen to our voices, having isolated us at the other end of the towns, as it happened in Freising and Moosburg. It is as if history is repeating again and again.

In the past, our ancestors have been slaves, our grandparents, who experienced World War I and II, have been violently forced to fight in the units of the Tirailleurs Sénégalais. They have helped the world to get freed from the invasion of the Nazis, but unluckily they asked for what they were entitled to. They were massacred in mases in the camp of Thiaroye (Senegal) and now it is us today, the grandchildren, who fight for our dignity, our existence, our freedom of movement, and, mainly, for education.

Is it too much to ask that one should be able to learn, if one is able to, is it too much to ask that one should be able to work, if you have the ability and the power, in order to not being dependent on someone, is it too much to ask in the 21st century to struggle for freedom and live, and what is left then from the struggles led by Ghandi or Martin Luther King and all the others. The world isn’t existing since today and it will not stop existing tomorrow. Let’s open our hearts, be in solidarity with each other, listen, don’t be afraid, take it seriously, let us take it serious, because neighbours will always cross each other’s ways, whether they want it or not.

Why we are organising a protest march

Refugee Protest March München to Nürnberg30th of September, 2016

24th day at Sendlinger Tor

On the 8th of October, we are going to start a protest march from Munich to Nürnberg to protest for our right to stay, and against the discrimination by the Bavarian integration bill.

Why is Nürnberg the destination of the protest march?

The head office of the federal office for migration and refugees (BAMF) is located in Nürnberg. We will go there, because this is the place where they decide about our asylum applications. On our route we will have stops in ten other Bavarian cities in order to have the chance to make our protest more public every day and to mobilise other refugees, just as being able to get more support in society.

Why are we walking?

We came from different countries and have travelled thousands of kilometres to get here, so we will continue moving until we get our rights. They deny us our basic human right of freedom of movement. For people who are at the beginning of their asylum process, the place of residence is allocated, and people are obliged to stay at this place. Also refugees with a ‚Duldung‘ are forced to tell the foreigners’ office where they are staying all the time. People with a residence status are not able to decide where they want to live.

Why are we demanding the right to stay?

All of our demands are included in the right to stay. We are demanding the right to stay, to work, the right to education and the right of choosing our places of residence. All of these are citizenship rights, and that’s why our main demand is the right to stay.

Why are we protesting against the Bavarian integration bill?

We, as a self-organized group of refugees, want to show that we don’t agree with the Bavarian integration bill, and show our resistance to it. Here is just one example from the draft bill: They are planning to start racist border controls in front of public buildings such as swimming pools and libraries. In doing so, they would minimize our freedom of movement even more.

For the protest march, we need your financial support to be able to attain our goals. A call for donations can be found .
