An der polnisch-belarussischen Grenze und in Calais zeigt sich aktuell wieder: Das EU-Grenzregime tötet! Die Politik der Festung Europa hat seit 1993 über 44.000 Menschen getötet. Menschen verlieren ihr Leben, weil die EU sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, Grenzen statt Menschen zu schätzen. Frontex ist zentraler Bestandteil dieser menschenverachtenden und rassistischen Abschottungspolitik. Die EU-Agentur entwickelt sich durch ihren stetigen Ausbau zu einer unkontrollierbaren Grenzpolizei, die direkt an Menschenrechtsverletzungen beteiligt ist. Am 18.12.2021, dem Internationalen Tag der Migrant:innen, gehen wir daher in Berlin auf die Straße und machen deutlich: Frontex und das rassistische System, das es repräsentiert, gehören abgeschafft. Auch Deutschland beteiligt sich personell und materiell an den Menschenrechtsverletzungen von Frontex. Trotz zahlreicher Berichte setzt auch die neue Regierung auf diese menschenverachtende Agentur und möchte sie zu “einer echten Grenzschutzagentur ausbauen”. Das können wir nicht länger akzeptieren. Gemeinsam stellen wir uns laut und wütend gegen ein Weiter-So in einem System der Abschottung, das inhärent rassistisch ist und koloniale und kapitalistische Machtstrukturen stärkt.

Lasst uns am 18.12. gemeinsam deutlich machen: Kein Mensch ist illegal. Jede*r sollte frei sein, sich zu bewegen und zu leben. Wir sehen uns auf der Straße! #AbolishFrontex

International Day of Action: Abolish-Frontex- Freedom of movement for everyone

At the moment, there are thousands of people stuck in a military zone at the polish-belarusian border, without any access to supplies and care, unseen by the public eye. It is an example for the brutality of the EU-border regime: humans are stuck at the external European borders for years and human rights are violated by continuing push- and pullbacks. People are paying with their lives, because the EU decided to protect borders instead of people. The politics of the fortress Europa have killed at least 44.764 persons since the year 1993. The Border Protection Service Frontex is a central component of this humiliating and racist politics of isolation. Because of the continuing expansion, it is becoming an uncontrollable border police that actively takes part in human rights violations. Legal, political or personnel-wise consequences: no such luck! Frontex is loosely controlled by itself and isn´t held accountable for any of their actions.Our new government is planning on systematically mistreating the rights of people on the move at the external EU-borders, too. Their reaction to the situation at the polish-belarusian border is mainly one: a call for Frontex. In the coalition contact it also says: “We want Frontex to act based on human rights and to evolve based on their granted mandate as a real European Border Protection Service. The uncompromising protection of human rights is incompatible with border protection and migration defence. Frontex as “real border protection” will continue to violate human rights under the name of the “European Border Protection” and actively covers those up.A continuing of this system of partition that is racist and supports colonial and capitalist power structures is unacceptable. United we stand loud and angry: On the 18th of December, the international day of migrants, we will be on the streets of Berlin to make one thing clear: Frontex and the racist system it is reproducing should be banned!Lets emphasize together: No one is illegal! Journée d’action internationale : Abolish-Frontex- Liberté de mouvement pour tous !

A la frontière entre la Pologne et la Biélorussie, des milliers de personnes en quête de protection sont actuellement bloquées dans une zone militaire interdite, sans accès aux soins et à l’abri du regard du public. C’est un exemple de la brutalité du régime frontalier de l’UE : depuis des années, des personnes sont bloquées à toutes les frontières extérieures de l’UE et les droits de l’homme sont systématiquement violés par de violents push et pullbacks. Des personnes perdent leurs vies parce que l’UE s’est fixé pour objectif de protéger les frontières plutôt que les personnes. La politique de l’EU a tué plus de 44.764 personnes depuis 1993. L’agence européenne de protection des frontières Frontex est un élément central de cette politique d’isolement raciste et inhumaine. Par son développement constant, elle se transforme en une police des frontières incontrôlable qui participe directement à ces violations des droits de l’homme. Des conséquences juridiques, politiques ou personnelles? Non ! Frontex se contrôle avant tout elle-même et n’a de comptes à rendre à personne.Le nouveau gouvernement fédéral prévoit lui aussi de continuer à violer systématiquement les droits des personnes exilées aux frontières extérieures de l’EU Ainsi, la réponse à la situation le long de la frontière entre la Pologne et la Biélorussie est avant tout une : L’appel à Frontex. L’accord de coalition stipule en outre : “Nous voulons que Frontex devienne une véritable agence européenne de protection des frontières, sur la base des droits de l’homme et du mandat qui lui a été confié”. Le respect intransigeant des droits de l’homme n’est jamais compatible avec la mission de protection des frontières et de défense contre l’immigration ! Frontex, en tant que “véritable agence de protection des frontières”, continuera à faires des violations des droits de l’homme au nom de la ‘protection des frontières européennes’ et à les dissimuler activement.Nous ne pouvons plus accepter la poursuite de ce système d’isolement, qui est intrinsèquement raciste et qui renforce les structures de pouvoir coloniales et capitalistes. Ensemble, nous nous y opposons fort : Le 18 décembre 2021, à l’occasion de la Journée internationale des migrants, nous descendrons dans la rue à Berlin pour dire clairement que Frontex et le système raciste qu’il représente doivent être abolis.Personne n’est illégal ! Die südliche Grenze der Europäischen Union bildet nicht mehr das Mittelmeer, sondern wurde mit Hilfe von Überwachungstechnik, Grenzzäunen und militärischen Checkpoints “externalisiert”, das heißt nach Nordafrika verlagert.
Die neue südliche EU Außengrenze liegt in Libyen, Niger, Senegal, Algerien und Tunesien und soll Migrations- und Flüchtlingsströme schon in der Sahara stoppen. Nach dem großen medialen Aufschrei über den Sklavenhandel in Libyen im Dezember letzten Jahres, wurden mehr als 30.000 Menschen aus Libyen “evakuiert”.
Eine zu diesem Zweck gegründete gemeinsame Einsatztruppe der Afrikanischen Union, der Europäischen Union und der Vereinten Nationen verbrachten innerhalb von sechs Monaten Zigtausende Geflüchtete und Migrant*innen nach Niger in sogenannte Transitzentren oder direkt zurück in ihre Herkunftsländer. Im Sommer letzten Jahres deportierte Algerien irreguläre Migrant*innen – nicht in ihre Herkunftsländer, sondern bis an die südliche Grenze: 13.000 Menschen wurden von den Militärtrucks mitten in der Sahara ausgesetzt.
Tausende von Menschen liefen zu Fuß nach Niger, viele verdursteten. Während Europa Ausschiffungsplattformen diskutiert, wird in Niger die Infrastruktur dafür aufgebaut – finanziert mit europäischer Entwicklungshilfe (European Trust Fund for Africa).

Wir werden mit verschiedenen Expert*innen darüber diskutieren, wie die EU seine Außengrenzen systematisch in die Länder Nordafrikas verlegt, welche Folgen dies für die jeweiligen Länder hat und welche Unterstützungsstrukturen (Rasthäuser, Alarmphone Sahara etc) es für Migrant*innen vor Ort und in Europa gibt.

Eine Kooperation von borderline europe – Menschenrechte ohne Grenzen e.V. und dem Bildungswerk Berlin der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.

Vortrag, Workshops und Filmscreening mit anschließender Diskussion mit Ibrahim Manzo Diallo – Afrique Europe Interact / Alarmphone Sahara, Bruno Watara – Intitiative gegen das EU Grenzregime, Kumut Imesh- Co-Regisseur des Films und Aktivist in Paris u.a.

The Sahara – a new deadly external border of the EU? Externalisation of borders II

The Mediterranean no longer marks the southern border of the European Union. With the help of surveillance technology, border fences and military checkpoints, the border was “externalised” to North Africa.
The new southern EU external border is located in Libya, Niger, Senegal, Algeria and Tunisia and is intended to stop migration and block refugee routes flows already in the Sahara. After the media scoop and public outcry about slave auctions in Libya in December last year, more than 30,000 people were “evacuated” from Libya.
Within six months a joint task force set up for this purpose by the African Union, the European Union and the United Nations brought tens of thousands of refugees and migrants* to Niger in so-called transit centres or directly back to their countries of origin. Last summer Algeria deported irregular migrants* not to their countries of origin but to the southern border: 13,000 people were abandoned by the military trucks in the middle of the Sahara.
Thousands of people walked to Niger on foot, many dying of thirst. While Europe is discussing disembarkation platforms, Niger is building the infrastructure for this – financed with European development aid (European Trust Fund for Africa).

We will discuss with different experts how the EU systematically relocates its external borders to the countries of North Africa, what consequences this has for the respective countries and what support structures (rest houses, Alarmphone Sahara etc.) for migrants exist, there and in Europe.

A cooperation of borderline europe – Menschenrechte ohne Grenzen e.V. and the Bildungswerk Berlin of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

PM zu Gedenk-Kundgebung für die 2014 von der spanischen Grenzpolizei ermordeten Migrant*innen am 6.2.

Der 6. Februar 2014 erinnert uns an einen Tag des Trauerns und des Zorns. Mehr als 30 Migrant*innen afrikanischer Herkunft wurden von der spanischen Grenzpolizei (Guardia Civil) getötet, als sie sich den Weg zu den europäischen Küsten erkämpften. Allerdings zählt die Polizei in ihrem Bericht nur 14 Tote und eine Vermisste.

Diese Handlungen verstoßen gegen die Genfer Konvention und die Internationale Menschenrechtskonvention, die die Freizügigkeit und die Gleichberechtigung für alle verkünden. Was wir heute anprangern, ist die Straffreiheit und die Verantwortungslosigkeit der Staaten der Europäischen Union und des Maghreb.

Wir verurteilen auch die Gleichgültigkeit der europäischen Zivilgesellschaft gegenüber diesen Morden an den Grenzen und innerhalb des europäischen Territoriums.

Diese Gleichgültigkeit fördert rassistische Handlungen und fördert die Kontinuität dieser Ideologie in Europa.
Wir zitieren hier den Fall Oury Jalloh, wo das Magdeburger Gericht ein Verbrechen der deutschen Polizei anerkennt und gleichzeitig seine Straffreiheit gewährleistet!

Die Zahl der Todesfälle von Migrant*innen an den europäischen Grenzen nimmt zu, ebenso wie die Zahl der Angriffe auf die Menschen und Häuser von Migrant*innen. So ist die Sicherheit und das Leben der Migrant*innen, nachdem sie den Gefahren auf dem Weg überlebt haben, bei weitem nicht von den europäischen Staaten gewährleistet.

Wir fordern:

  • Stopp den Morden von Migrant*innen an den europäischen Grenzen durch die Polizei, die Armee und die Frontex-Agentur
  • Die politische und moralische Verantwortung der Staaten der Europäischen Union und des Maghreb für die Verbrechen ihrer Polizei und Armee.
  • Stopp den Misshandlungen von Migrant*innen auf dem Weg nach Europa
  • Faire Visumerteilung an beiden Ufern des Mittelmeers: gleiche Visapolitik für afrikanische und europäische Bürger*innen.
