[DEMO] Lufthansa #abschiebefrei

von No Border Assembly

15:00 Ringbahn (S+U) JungfernheideDemo

Wann: Montag, 19. Juli
15:00: Demo-Startpunkt = Ringbahn (S+U) station Jungfernheide

Schließt euch uns an!

Lufthansa #abschiebefreiSurround the Office of Deportation Profiteers

Lufthansa, the biggest deportation profiteer in Germany. Let them not get away with their dirty business. On Monday, 19 July, we will take the 2 entrances of their main Berlin office during the end of their workday. In two officially registered rallies, their employees will have to go through us to get home. Let’s be loud and let’s be clear: until Lufthansa publicly takes a stand against structural racism and stops their collaboration with the German deportation machine, we will continue to confront them.
When: Monday, 19 July15:00: demo start = Ringbahn (S+U) station Jungfernheide16:20: rally at Lufthansa’s office = Siemensdamm 62— bring whistles, pots & pans, drums or megaphones. Anything to be as loud as we can —
The campaign Lufthansa #abschiebefrei started last year. After two action days against Lufthansa, the state decided from this year to censor information about which airlines are used for deportations. This shows again that capitalism, the state and racism go hand in hand. A freedom of information request revealed that it is our campaign that was the reason for this censorship. In the words of the government, naming companies used for deportations might give them a bad image in the view of society. Fuck yeah, their profiteering of racist violence and the colonial practice of deportations gives them worse than a bad image. Deportation profiteers do not deserve one second of rest!
In 2019, Lufthansa and their subsidiaries completed the deportation of 5,885 people. That was more than 25% of all deportations from Germany that year. Due to the state’s censorship, we do not know the current numbers, but we will continue to assume that Lufthansa is carrying out most deportations until proven otherwise. And let us never forget the names of Aamir Ageeb and Kola Bankole who were both murdered by police on Lufthansa deportation flights. Profiting from deportations is complicity in murder!
At 15:00 we will gather at the Ringbahn station Jungfernheide, and from there we will walk together to the office of Lufthansa (address: Siemensdamm 62, 13627 Berlin). There we will split in two rallies at the only two exits of their premise .
Join us! Deportation profiteers will continue their racist business as long as we let them. Take action, we know where to find them. Force Lufthansa to become #abschiebefrei.

Arash, Julia, Steffi

While we were preparing the radio show on the Rom*nja families’ protest in Berlin against iminent deportation by the german state, some of the families went on to Regensburg and tried to find shelter at Regensburg Cathedral. After some days the Diocese of Regensburg called the police and prompted state authorities to evict those people by force from the church’s premises. One of the people who had asked the church for shelter was arrested by police forces due to a complaint the church had placed against the group. Look here for further information.

Weitere Informationen findet Ihr hier

OPRE ROMA! Roma are here to stay!  – radio liveshow & discussion with live music by “RollinHopp” & “Inclusion 4 Real” 17.07. 6PM

Since May Rom*nja families are protesting in Berlin against imminent deportation and for the right to stay of all Rom*nja people. On May 22nd they choose the ‘Memorial to the Sinti and Roma Victims of National Socialism’ as a symbolic place to stage their protest, since today, 80 years after the Holocaust, they are still facing structural discrimination, social and political exclusion and deportation. The ‘Association for the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe’ who as well is in charge of the memorial dedicated to the Sinti and Roma victims reacted swiftly and prompted the police to eject the Rom*nja families by force from the ‘Memorial to the Sinti and Roma Victims’.

What are the demands of the Rom*nja families in Berlin, how is the situation of the Rrom*nja in Germany and Europe and how can we campaign together in solidarity? We will discuss these topics with our guests – people of the Rom*nja families and from other Rom*nja groups in Berlin.

OPRE ROMA! Alle Roma bleiben! – Radioliveshow & Diskussion mit “RollinHopp” & “Inclusion 4 Real” on stage live – 17.07. 18:00

Report: Mass deportation to Serbia from Berlin on September 1st

Stop Deportation

Get active
against all deportations, now!

Two days ago, on September 1st 2015, 38 people were deported in a chartered flight from Berlin Schönefeld to Serbia. Among them was D. Stanovic a 20-year-old Serbian, who was born and grew up in Germany with his family. Actually, he was supposed to start his apprenticeship for becoming a baker on Tuesday. Instead, he was picked up by police for his deportation early in the morning. D. Stanovic is now with his great-grandmother in Serbia, the only relative he has there. Also he does not speak a single word of Serbian, which means that he will have to learn a new language.

A press release by Arrivo demanding senator of interior affairs Henkel and the authorities he is in charge of to stop the deportation was ignored. Also the 20 activists who went to the airport as soon as they had received the information about the collective deportation, could not intervene any more. The police at the air port did not show any interest in the activists’ concerns and just said that this was one more deportation like it is being done every 6 to 8 weeks. About the Airline which carried out the deportation we still could not get any information. This mass deportation is not a single case and will not be the last one. Behind this there is a whole deportation machine which systematically violates people’s freedom of movement and sends them (back) to places, which they left for good reasons, by force(see also: http://zeit.de/feature/refugees-in-germany-deportation-flights-laws). Joint deportations as the one two days ago are facilitated through Germany’s recent claim that Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegowina were safe countries of origin, which makes it impossible for citizens of these states to be acknowledged as refugees in Germany. Now, it is even planned to further include Kosovo in the list of safe countries of origin. Through this policy Germany is practically hollowing out the right of asylum, while in fact, certain groups as Rroma or homosexual people ARE facing political persecution in those countries. Nevertheless, this policy is part of Germany’s strategy to discourage people from poorer regions to migrate to wealthy Germany. Freedom of movement is everybody’s right! Get organized and get active against all deportations, now!
