We are looking for people who would like to discuss these subjects with us and are willing to talk about their experiences with migration. We would like to record these conversations. The conversations will only be published in agreement with the dialog partner.

ABSPRUNG (working title)
Radio play and audio installation, Produced by: WDR
Paul Plamper and Jelka Plate are doing a research for the radio play project ABSPRUNG
We are planning two versions of the radio play: a stereo radio play for public service broadcasting and a 24 channel audio installation, which can be installed in museums, theatres and in the public space.
ABSPRUNG deals with migration movements from and to Germany throughout different times. The radio play will be based on interviews with refugees and migrants in Berlin today. These contemporary stories will be complemented by material from archives dealing with migration and displacements in the colonial area, with migration from Germany to other countries during National Socialism, the politics of recruitment of turkish workers during the 70ies and the big emigration from Germany to the USA in the cause of industrialisation around 1860.
ABSPRUNG aims to combine different directions and movements of migration in a way that reveals the historical context of migration which is often ignored when we are talking about nowadays migration. We would like to show migration in its continuity and therefore as a human right.
The stories collected will be put together in a way that makes it difficult at times to understand in which time the story is acted out – for example: where and when does the conflict take place that expells a protagonist from his or her country ? Who is seeking a better life – empoverished german resettlers in the USA in the 19th century, or turkish migrant workers in Germany during the 70ies?
ABSPRUNG wants to confuse its audience in order to question their prejudices.
The research will also focus on the global system of interdependencies, the politics of demarcation and the profit which is made with it, as well as the role western countries are playing in the situation of countries people escape from.

LE SAUT (titre provisoire)
Pièce radiophonique et installation audio, Chaîne productrice: WDR.
Paul Plamper et Jelka Plate sont en train de faire des recherches pour la pièce radiophonique LE SAUT.
Le projet consiste à élaborer deux versions différentes d’une pièce radiophonique: une version stéréo pour la radio de droit public et une installation audio en 24 chaînes qui pourra être présentée dans des musées, des théâtres et en espace public.
LE SAUT parle des mouvements de migration vers l’Allemagne et quittant l’Allemagne. Le projet se formera autour des entretiens avec des réfugié(e)s récemment arrivé(e)s et des immigré(e)s à Berlin. Ces histoires actuelles seront combinées avec du matériel d’archive sur la migration et de déportation pendant l’époque coloniale, sur des cas de fuite de l’Allemagne pendant le nazisme, sur la politique allemande de recrutement de travailleurs immigrés pendant les années 70 et sur la vague d’émigration de l’Allemagne lors de l’industrialisation à partir de1860.
Notre but est de court-circuiter les différents vagues d’immigration et d’émigration de façon que le contexte historique devient visible qui lors de la discussion autour de la migration actuelle souvent n’est pas pris en vue. Ainsi, le phénomène de la migration se présente comme une constante historique et comme un droit de l’homme.
Les histoires individuelles seront mixées dans une collage de façon que l’auditeur ne saura pas toute de suite repérer le temps historique duquel le texte parle : Quel est le contexte du conflit qui pousse le protagoniste à quitter le pays ? Qui est celui qui essaye de se construire une vie meilleure – des pauvres émigrants allemands dans l’Amérique de l’année 1882 ou bien des travailleurs étrangers turques en Allemagne dans les années 70?
LE SAUT voudrait savonner la planche historique à ses auditeurs et les stimuler à réviser ses propres préjugés.
D’autres accents de notre recherche seront: le système globale de dépendances, de tracés des frontières et de profit à en tirer comme aussi la part de l’Occident à la situation des pays qui sont fuits en ce moment.
Nous cherchons des personnes qui ont envie à discuter avec nous sur ces sujets et qui voudront nous raconter leurs expériences de migration et de fuite. Ces entretiens seront régistrés. Toute sorte de publication sera convenue avec nos interlocuteurs.

STAGE AUDIO
Quand: dimanche, 21 juin 2015 de 17 à 19h, et dimanche 28 juin de 17 à 21h.
Où: Institut für transkulturelle und transnationale Sozialarbeit, Projektraum, Adalbertstrasse 96, 10999 Berlin, Kreuzberg, près du café Kotti
Quoi: Le producteur de pièces radiophoniques Paul Plamper (WDR, DLF et al.) transmet des connaissances de base en technique de régistration et en postproduction audio.
Nous réaliseront des enregistrements de voix parlées et nous entraîneront dans l’usage de microphones. Après, nous allons couper les enregistrements et expérimenteront sur le sounddesign et l’arrangement musical.
Il y aura deux bancs de montage avec le programme Samplitude. D’autres ordinateurs portables (Windows) avec un souris comme toute sorte d’appareil enregistreur et des câbles de connexion seront à la bienvenue!

Hörspiel und Audioinstallation
Produzierender Sender: WDR.
Paul Plamper und Jelka Plate recherchieren für das Hörspiel-Projekt ABSPRUNG.
Es soll am Ende zwei Versionen des Hörspiels geben: ein Stereo-Hörspiel für den öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk und eine 24-Kanal-Audio-Installation, die in Museen, Theatern und im öffentlichen Raum gezeigt werden kann.
ABSPRUNG beschäftigt sich mit Migrationsbewegungen nach und aus Deutschland. Die Basis des Hörspiels bilden Gespräche mit heutigen Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen in Berlin. Diese aktuellen Geschichten werden verwoben mit Archivmaterial zu Migration und Verschleppung in der Kolonialzeit, zu Fluchten aus Deutschland zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus, zu Deutschlands Anwerbepolitik von Gastarbeiter*innen in den 70ern und zur Auswanderungswelle aus Deutschland im Zuge der Industrialisierung ab 1860.
Ziel ist, verschiedene Migrationswellen und -bewegungen so miteinander kurz zu schließen, dass sich der historische Zusammenhang offenbart, der bei der Betrachtung heutiger Migration oft ausgeblendet wird. Migration zeigt sich so als historische Konstante und Menschenrecht.
Die einzelnen Geschichten werden so collagiert, dass die Hörer an einigen Stellen nicht wissen, in welcher Zeit sie sich gerade befinden – wo findet der Konflikt statt, der da gerade einen Protagonisten aus dem Land treibt? Wer will da gerade wo ein besseres Leben beginnen – verarmte deutsche Aussiedler in Amerika des Jahres 1860 oder türkische Gastarbeiter im Deutschland der 70er Jahre?
ABSPRUNG hat zum Ziel, seine Hörer auf historisches Glatteis zu locken und sie zur Überprüfung eigener Vorurteile anzuregen.
Weitere Schwerpunkte der Recherche sind das globale System aus Abhängigkeiten, Grenzziehungen und dem Profit, der daraus geschlagen wird; sowie der Anteil des Westens an der Situation in Ländern, aus denen emigriert oder geflüchtet wird.
Wir suchen nach Menschen, die diese Themen mit uns diskutieren und uns von ihren Erfahrungen mit Migration oder Flucht erzählen wollen. Die Gespräche werden wir aufnehmen. Eventuelle Veröffentlichung wird mit allen Gesprächspartnern abgestimmt.

Was: Der Hörspielmacher Paul Plamper (WDR, DLF u.a.) vermittelt Grundkenntnisse in Aufnahmetechnik und Audiopostproduction.
Wir werden Sprachaufnahmen machen und dabei den Umgang mit dem Mikrofon üben. Dann werden wir Aufnahmen schneiden, sowie Sounddesign und musikalisches Arrangement ausprobieren.
Es wird zwei Schnittplätze mit dem Programm Samplitude geben. Weitere (Windows-)Laptops mit Maus, sowie alle Aufnahmegeräte und Verbindungskabel sind willkommen!
