300 Reugees and supporters took the streets in Berlin last Saturday and demonstrated for the right of the refugees from Italy to stay and make a living in Germany. The same issue was demanded in Hamburg by the Lampedusa in Hamburg movement with more than 2500 people. The main demand on both demonstrations was the application of § 23 Aufenthaltsgesetz (resident law), which offers each federal state within Germany the oportunity to give the Aufenthaltserlaubnis (resident permit) to a defined group of migrants due to humanitarian reasons. more picrures here
