Anlässlich des 08. März, dem internationalen Frauen*kampf-Tag veranstalten wir, Women in Exile and Friends, zusammen mit weiteren Bündnispartner*innen eine Demonstration im südbrandenburgischen Cottbus. Wir wenden uns strikt gegen die rechtspopulistisch entfachte, medial aufgegriffene und verwaltungspolitisch getragene Hetze gegen Geflüchtete. Diese Hetze folgt einem konservativen und rechten Frauenbild, treibt einen Keil durch die Einwohner*innenschaft der Stadt Cottbus und provoziert somit eine gezielte Spaltung.
Warum Cottbus?
Südbrandenburg im Allgemeinen und Cottbus im Speziellen sind seit langer Zeit als rassistische Hochburgen bekannt. Der Verein Opferperspektive meldet seit Jahren zunehmende Gewalttaten in dieser Region. Der neurechte Verein „Zukunft Heimat“ marschiert seit über einem Jahr regelmäßig durch die Cottbuser Innenstadt. Die offizielle Bekanntgabe des Aufnahmestopps für Geflüchtete aus der Erstaufnahme-Einrichtung in Eisenhüttenstadt ist ein falsches und auch gefährliches Signal und spielt den Rassist*innen in die Hände. Daher ist es wichtig, jetzt in Cottbus auf die Straße zu gehen und zu zeigen, dass es reicht. Denn, es geht nicht um Geflüchtete, es geht um offene rassistische Hetze und Gewalt.
Eine Stadt im Griff der Angst
Seit Monaten, wenn nicht gar seit Jahren, haben besonders geflüchtete Frauen* und Kinder aufgrund verbaler und physischer Angriffe Angst, ihre Wohnungen zu verlassen. Klingelschilder von Geflüchteten und Migrant*innen werden beschädigt, so dass Briefe nicht ankommen. Kinder werden in Schulen diskriminiert. Dies führt zu steigender Isolation. Integration scheitert auf allen Ebenen, da das Problem verkannt wird. Rassismus wohin das Auge reicht! In der Stadt herrscht ein Klima der Angst. Der Druck auf Flüchtlinge und insbesondere auf Flüchtlingsfrauen* ist massiv. Die Angst ihre Stimme zu erheben ist allgegenwärtig.
Für Feminismus ohne Rassimus!
Eigentlich wollten am 10.03 auch wieder rassistische Gruppen durch Cottbus marschieren. Unter dem Motto “Die Freiheit der Frau ist nicht verhandelbar” suggerieren sie feministische Ansprüche. Feminismus fordert die Abschaffung von Ungleichheit und somit gleiche Rechte und Freiheiten für alle Menschen, egal welcher Herkunft.
Darum lasst uns gemeinsam am 10.03. deutlich machen: Feminismus geht nur ohne Rassismus!
WERDET LAUT gegen Rassismus, Unterdrückung, rechte und rassistische Gewalt!
Lasst uns Druck auf die lokalen Behörden aufbauen!
Lasst uns gemeinsam für den Feminismus kämpfen!
Wir rufen alle Gruppen und Menschen, die für Feminismus und gegen Rassismus kämpfen auf, es klar und deutlich zu sagen:
Für das Recht, zu Kommen!
Für das Recht, zu Gehen!
Für das Recht, zu Bleiben!
Für das Recht auf Selbstbestimmung!
Bei der Abschlusskundgebung wird Babsi Tollwut spielen!
Wenn man sie fragt (und wir haben sie gefragt), beschreibt sie ihre Musik so:
„Musik ist für mich die Liebe meines Lebens, mein persönliches Empowerment und gegenwärtig meine Form von queer-feministischem Aktivismus. Darüber hinaus verfolge ich mit meiner Präsenz einen Gegenbeitrag zu männlicher Dominanz und Homophobie in der HipHop-Szene .‚Babsi Tollwut‘ ist mein musikalisches Alterego, mit dem ich gegen gesellschaftliche Machtverhältnisse und Normierungen musikalisch ankämpfe um politische Kämpfe zu supporten. Dies tue ich mit Verzweiflung, Wut und Humor.“.
Update: Die Rechten haben ihre Demo-Ankündigung für Cottbus für den 10.3. zurück gezogen. Scheinbar haben sie kalte Füße bekommen.
Ein Grund mehr um viele zu sein und laut zu sein.

Marking the 8th of March, the International Women*s Day of Struggle we, Women in Exile and Friends together with other allies are organizing a Demonstration in Cottbus, south Brandenburg.
We are turning against the hatred against refugees caused by right populist, spreaded by media and carried out by the politics.
This hatred follows a conservative and right conception of women and is systematically provoking a separation between Cottbus citizens.
Why Cottbus?
For a long time south Brandenburg in general and Cottbus especially are known as racist centers.
For years the organization Opferperspektive (victims perspective) is registering rising violent attacks in this region.
The new right organization “Zukunft Heimat” (Future Homeland) is marching for one year regularyly through the center of Cottbus.
Thus the offical announcement that no more refugees from the central-receiving center (Erstaufnahmelager) in Eisenhüttenstadt will be allocated to Cottbus, is a dangerous signal and playing to the right wings hand.
Enough is enough! It is important to go on the streets in Cottbus now.
It is not about refugees, it is about racist hatred and violence!
A city gripped in fear
In Cottbus refugee women* and children fear going out of their flats because of verbal and physical attacks.
Name plates of flats owned by refugees and migrants are sprayed over and the postal service cannot find their names on the given address that means they hardly get their post. Children going to public schools are openly segregated and discriminated. They are allocated their own classrooms, which leads to isolation and makes one automatically to ask what became of the integration policies.
Racism as the core problem is not named.
The city is gripped in fear and huge pressure is made on refugees, especially on refugee women*. The fear to speak out is everywhere.
For a feminism without racism!
On the same day (10.03) of our demonstration, racist groups of women and men will also march in Cottbus. Going round pretending to be fighting for women with the motto “freedom of women is not negotiable” they will be selling their racist propaganda.
Feminism demands the abolition of injustice thus the same rights and freedom for all people, regardless of their origins.
Let’s make it clear on the 10th of March that Feminism is not including racism!
SPEAK OUT against racism, opression, right and racist violence!
Lets make pressure on the municipal authorities to take action !
Let’s fight together for feminisms!
