DAILY RESISTANCE IS AN INSTRUMENT OF ORGANIZATION
Now we are publishing the third issue of our newspaper. We have distributed five thousand copies of its first issue. Local initiatives played an important role in that practice. However, we would like to stress that Daily Resistance is not only about publication and distribution. This newspaper is an instrument of organization. Every local initiative should aim to establish lasting bonds through this newspaper. Every local initiative can form a Daily Resistance committee. Such a committee should undertake tasks such as distributing the newspaper, writing for the newspaper, produce news and visual material for the newspaper and forming new relations for the newspaper. Handing copies of the newspaper to the people is not the only goal here. One should communicate with the people those who would receive the paper. Information on the problems of the refugee camps where this newspaper is distributed and ideas for possible solutions to those problems should be circulated. Every local group can form a meeting centre wherever it is possible. Meetings can be organized with people to whom this newspaper is delivered. Each local initiative can organize events – film screenings, debates, reading activities – depending on their individual conditions.
We are acting with the perspective of alternative media. Therefore, we encourage the distributors and the readers of this newspaper to present their critique, proposals and contributions to the process.
We aim to relay the information based on our experience of refugee resistance to the newly coming refugees and to anticapitalist and antifascist movements. In line with this purpose, we published our journal, Movement Magazine, and we shared this experience through exhibitions, films, texts and photographs. We aim to enhance, expand and strengthen this practice by publishing Daily Resistance.
The number of the refugees has increased in Germany and in the rest of Europe recently. On the other hand, the laws and legal practices against refugees have become harsher and racist movements are currently on the rise. In contrast with this, a decline and weakening of the resistance movements is clearly observed. There were fewer number of refugees in the years between 2012 and 2015; that was the period when we gained certain rights to a certain extent. There was a fairly more dynamic street struggle. What does this comparison show us? That the resistance movement do not arise spontaneously. Some people should conduct a meticulous and planned work to organize the movement and resistance. In those years between 2012 and 2015 we were involved in a practice: knocking the doors of refugees one by one. We organized meetings in every city. A wilful intervention was at work.
Through Daily Resistance Newspaper, we can reactivate the resistance movement which is apparently at its decline. For that, all activists should take responsibility and do effort. The understanding of the anticapitalist and antifascist movements towards this newspaper as a “refugee newspaper” is an incomplete one. The refugee question is a question of warfare, it is a question of capitalism, a question of racism. The refugee reality is an outcome of all those policies. Therefore, refugee struggle is class struggle since the refugees are at the bottom of the oppressed and exploited classes. It is possible to organize an opposition resistance from below. We have tried to show that in our resistance experience. It can be observed that we played an irritating, disturbing and triggering role in our actions and practices such as long marches, street occupations, parliament occupations, rooftop occupations, party and trade union building occupations.
Even though Daily Resistance is a young newspaper, it has already created a quite positive effect. Now is the time to transform this effect into a permanently organized state. So far the editorial meetings were held in streets, houses or cafés. We need a permanent place. We need a place where the writers, readers and distributors of this newspaper can directly interact and take up decisive roles. We have already made concrete steps for that. The fact that our movement goes by the name “Oplatz” is related to us occupying that place (Oranienplatz), and coordinating our struggle from that place for a long time. That is similar to the names of places that made movements visible worldwide, for example Wall Street, Tahrir, Taksim. Therefore, it is important to demonstrate the Alternative Life in a way that stretches through time and space.
Capitalist states are exercising suppression and besiege of alternative media everywhere in the world. Recently in Turkey more than 20 media organizations including radios and televisions were raided and shut down. These are practices similar to the ones in Nazi Germany, using the Reichstag fire as an excuse for massive crackdowns on opposition. Naturally, European states are closing their eyes and ears to those oppressive, anti-democratic practices due to the dirty agreements and bargains among them. We would like to express our solidarity with those free media workers.
The anticapitalist and antifascist movements in Germany should ask themselves: while people of France rose up and took the streets against the neoliberal labour law, why no leaf stirred in Germany? They can also use our newspaper as a network to organize the united street resistance against the limitation of the social rights, homelessness, unemployment, arms trade, war, capitalism and racism that has increased its physical violence.
Even though our means are limited, we can transform our media into an effective instrument of organization in case all the relevant bodies become active.
Daily Resistance is also a message to well-off segments who campaign, publish books, make films on behalf of refugees and who use us and our struggle as a tool for their own ends. We tell them that as we organize our own action, we can have our own say as well. Stop using us as sheep to the slaughter!

DAİLY RESİSTANCE GAZETESİ BİR ÖRGÜTLENME ARACIDIR
Daily Resestance gazetemizin üçüncü sayısını da hazırlamış bulunuyoruz. İlk baskısını beşbin adet dağıttık. Bu dağıtımda lokal insiyatifler önemli bir rol oynadı. Ancak vurgulamak istiyoruz ki; Daily Resistance, sadece basılıp dağıtımı yapılacak bir gazete değildir. Bu gazete bir örgütlenme aracıdır. Her lokal insiyatif, gazete aracılığıyla kalıcı bağlar kurmayı hedeflemelidir. Her lokal insiyatif bir Daily Resistance komitesi kurabilir. Bu komite hem gazetenin dağıtımını hem gazeteye yazı, haber, fotoğraf iletilmesini ve hem de yeni ilişkiler oluşturulmasını üstlenmelidir. İnsanlara sadece gazete vermek tek amaç değildir. Gazetenin verildiği her insanla mutlaka konuşmalar yapılmaladır. Dağıtımın yapıldığı mülteci kamplarındaki sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri üzerine bilgi alışverişi yapılmalıdır. Eğer mümkünse her lokal grup bir toplanma merkezi bulabilir. Gazetenin ulaştırıldığı insanlarla birlikte toplantılar örgütlenebilir. Her lokal insiyatifin kendi özgül koşullarına göre belirleyebileceği etkinlikler organize edilebilir. Film gösterimleri, tartışmalar, okuma günleri düzenlenebilir.
Alternatif bir medya olma perspektifiyle hareket ediyoruz. Dolayısıyla dağıtımcıların ya da okurların gazete ile ilgili eliştiri, öneri ve katkı yapmak konusunda sorumluluk üstlenmeleri beklenir.
Mülteci direnişi deneyimimizi çeşitli araçlarla yeni gelen mültecilere ve diğer antikapitalist, antifaşist hareketlere aktarmak amacını taşıyoruz. Bu amaçla Movement Magazine dergimizi bastık, sergilerle, filmlerle yazı ve fotoğraflarla bu deneyimi paylaştık. Daily Resistance gazetesiyle de bunu daha yaygın ve etkin kılmak istiyoruz.
Aktüel olarak Almanya’da ve avrupanın diğer ülkelerinde bulunan mülteci sayısı artmış bulunuyor. Diğer yandan mülteilere karşı çıkırtılan yasalar daha sert ve ırkçı hareketler yükselişe geçmiş bulunuyor. Bununla ters orantılı olarak direniş hareketlerinde bir düşüş olduğu gözle görülür vaziyettedir. 2012-2015 yılları arasında daha az mülteci vardı, belli ölçülerde bazı haklarımızı kazanmıştık. Daha dianamik bir sokak mücadelesi söz konusuydu. Bu karşılaştırma bize neyi gösterir? Demek ki, geliştirilen direniş hareketleri kendiliğinden olmuyor. Birilerinin hareketi ve direnişi örgütlemek için planlı bir çalışma yürütmesi gerekir. Sözümü ettiğimiz yıllarda tek tek mülteci odalarının kapıları çalınarak yürütülen bir çalışma vardı. Tüm şehirlerde toplantılar düzenliyorduk. İradi bir müdehale söz konusuydu.
Daily Resistance gazetesiyle, düşüşe geçen direniş hareketni yeniden aktif hale getirebiliriz. Bunun için tüm aktivistlerin sorumluluk alması ve çaba göstermesi gerekir. Antikapitalist-antifaşist aktivistler bu gazeteyi sadece “mülteci gazetesi” olarak algılaması eksik bir kavrayıştır. Mülteci konusu aynı zamanda savaş meselesidir, kapitalizm meselesidir, ırkçılık meselesidir. Mülteci gerçekliği tüm bu politikaların bir sonucudur. Bu mücadele aynı zamanda bir sınıf mücadelesidir. Mülteciler de sömürülen sınıfların en altında bulunuyor. Aşağıdan yukarıya sistem karşıtı direnişi örgütlemek mümkündür. Direniş deneyimimizle bunu göstermeye çalıştık. Uzun yürüyüşler, sokak işgalleri, parlemento işgalleri, çatı işgalleri, ağaç işgalleri, sendika binası ya da parti binası işgalleriyle rahatsız edici ve harekete geçirici bir rol oynadığımız, bu deneyimlerimiz incelenerek görülebilir.
Gazetemiz yeni olmasına rağmen oldukça pozitif bir etkileşim yarattı. Şimdi bu etkileşimi kalıcı örgütlülüklere dönüştürme zamanıdır. Şimdiye kadar gazete toplantıları sokaklarda, evlerde ya da kafelerde yapıldı. Sabit bir mekana ihtiyacımız var. Yazarların, okuyucuların ve dağtımcıların direkt ilişkiye geçebileceği, etkin rol üstlenebileceği bir mekana ihtiyacımız var. Bunun için somut girişimlerde bulunduk. Hareketimizin Oplatz ismiyle anılması bir mekanı işgal edip uzun süre buradan mücadeleyi koordilne edişimizle ilgilidir. Dünyada Wall Striet, Tahrir, Taksim gibi mekan isimlerinin hareketi görünür kılmasıyla benzer bir durumdur. Alternatif hayatı bir mekanda zamana yayılan bir biçimde ortaya koymak bu nedenle önemlidir.
Dünyada altanatif medya üzerinde kapitalist devletlerin baskısı ve kuşatması söz konusudur. Bakınız Türkiye’de yirmi civarında radyo, televizyon ve diğer medya araçları, devlet tarafından işgal edilerek kapatıldı. Almanya geçmişinde Reichtag yangını bahane edilerek yapılan uygulamalara benzer uygulamalardır bunlar. Avrupa devletleri aralarındaki kirli anlaşma ve pazarlıklardan dolayı tüm bu anti demokratik uygulamalalara gözünü kapatıyor doğal olarak. Bu özgür medya emekçileriyle dayanışma içinde olduğumuzu vurgulamak isteriz.
Almanya’daki antifaşist ve antikapitalist hareketlerin, Fransa’da yer yerinden oynarken neden Almanya’da yaprak kıpırdamadığını düşünmeleri gerekir. Onlar da sosyal hakların kısıtlanmasına karşı, evsizliğe, işsizliğe, silah ticaretine, savaşa, kapitalizme ve fiili şiddetini artıran ırkçılığa karşı birleşik sokak direnişini örgütlamak için gazetemizi bir ağ olarak kullanabilirler.
Olanaklarımız kısıtlı da olsa tüm ilgililerin aktif hale gelmesiyle medya araçlarımızı etkin bir örgütlenme aracına dönüştürebiliriz.
Daily Resistance, mülteciler adına kampanya yürüten, kitap çıkartan, film yapan ve bizim eylemlerimizi ve bizleri birer alet olarak kullanan tuzu kuru kesimlere de bir mesajdır. Onlara diyoruz ki; biz kendi eylemimizi örgütlediğimiz gibi kendi sözümüzü de söyleyebiliriz. Bizi kurbanlık koyun gibi kullanmaktan vazgeçin artık.
