Oranienplatz has been a symbolic site for the refugee and migrant movement in Germany for more than 10 years now. The square has been the main site for ongoing protests, rallies and sit-ins, all aimed at drawing attention to the plight of people on the move seeking asylum in Germany. The significance of O-Platz for people on the move cannot be understated, as it has become a place of solidarity, resistance, and hope.
Therefore, we are planning a demonstration for the summer event “We are O-Platz” – 16-20 June 2023 at Oranienplatz. On the 20th of June (World Refugee Day), we want to take to the streets and show our presence as a movement in the middle of Kreuzberg.
Bring your voice, people, ideas, banners, flyers, and more!
