Tomorrow, 12 June, 17:00: Rallye against the G20 “African Partnership Conference” in Berlin-Schöneberg

Am 12. und 13. Juni findet in Berlin im Rahmen des G20-Gipfels die Africa Partnership Conference statt. Um dagegen zu protestieren wollen wir am Montag, den 12.6. um 17:00 Uhr eine Kundgebung am Gasometer in Schöneberg (in der Cheruskerstraße, der Park vor dem Gasometer wird von der Polizei vollkommen gesperrt sein) veranstalten. Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr euch an der Kundgebung beteiligt, sei es durch einen Redebeitrag, Aktionen oder etwas anderes!

Kundgebung gegen die Africa Partnership Conference am 12.6.2017 vor dem Gasometer in Schöneberg

Am 7. und 8. Juli 2017 treffen sich in Hamburg die Staats- und Regierungschef*innen der 19 mächtigsten Nationalstaaten und der EU. Diese sogenannte Gruppe der G20 ist verantwortlich für globale Ausbeutung, steigende soziale Ungleichheit, den Klimawandel, Kriege, Flucht und Verarmung. Der Gipfel dient ihnen dabei zur Sicherung der gegenwärtigen Macht- und Herrschaftsverhältnisse.

Neben dem Gipfel in Hamburg gibt es zahlreiche weitere Treffen der G20-Gruppe, darunter die sogenannte Africa Partnership Conference, die vom 12. – 13. Juni 2017 auf dem EUREF Campus am Gasometer in Schöneberg stattfinden wird. Bereits 1884/85 fand in Berlin eine Afrika-Konferenz statt. Damals ging es den Großmächten vorgeblich um die koloniale Aufteilung des Kontinents.

Grundlage der heutigen Konferenz sind zwei Dokumente, die Anfang 2017 veröffentlicht wurden: Zum einen der sogenannte „Marshall Plan with Africa“, der vom BMZ ausgearbeitet wurde und der „Compact with Africa“, der vom BMF, der Weltbank, der AfDB, und dem IMF erarbeitet wurde. Keine Zusammenarbeit fand dahingegen mit afrikanischen Akteur*innen z.B. der Zivilgesellschaft statt. Während sich Deutschland als „Retter Afrikas“ aufspielt, stecken hinter der vorgetäuschten Partnerschaft tatsächlich ganz andere Interessen:

1. Noch mehr Abschottung: Flucht und Migration aus Afrika verhindern:
Die Grenzen von Fortress Europe sollen ins Innere Afrikas verlagert werden. Dazu sollen viele afrikanische Staaten mit technischen Geräten zur Identifikation und zur Überwachung ausgerüstet werden (Drohnen, Zäune, biometrische Pässe etc.). Die EU kooperiert dazu auch mit (para-)militärischen Gruppen, undemokratischen Staaten und Kriegsverbrechern.

2. Noch mehr Profit: Interessen großer Konzerne bedienen:
Die Investitionsbedingungen für Kapital aus den G20-Ländern in Afrika sollen sich verbessern, da die Zinsraten in den reichsten Industrienationen so niedrig sind, dass kaum noch Renditen mehr erzielt werden können.

3. Noch mehr „Frei“-Handel: Abbau von Zöllen und EU Agrardumping fördern:
Seit mehreren Jahren verhandelt die EU mit vielen afrikanischen Regierungen über „Economic Partnership Agreements“ (EPAs) zur Liberalisierung der afrikanischen Märkte. Durch den Abbau von Schutzzöllen können so hoch subventionierte Agrarprodukte aus der EU billig nach Afrika exportiert werden, wo sie die dortige (meist kleinbäuerliche) Landwirtschaft zerstören.
