Stop the war on migrants
Without hesitation the Guardia Civil used rubber bullets and tear gas on the 6th of February 2014 in Tarajal (Morocco), to stop migrants who tried to reach Ceuta swimming, killing 15 people.
In autumn 2015, the judge concerned with the case closed the proceedings against 16 Policemen sued by Spanish NGOs. To commemorate the tragedy of Tarajal and in solidarity with the migrants, numerous activities will take place in
France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands. The European Union is to be held responsible to a considerable extend for this tragedy, due to the externalization of the border control on the African continent, the militarization of the border regime and the construction of walls in collaboration with countries of the global south.
Stoppt den Krieg gegen Migrant_innen!
Am 6. Februar 2014 setzte die spanische Guardia Civil Gummigeschosse und Tränengas gegen Migrant_innen ein, die versuchten vom marokkanischen Tarajal in die spanische Exklave Ceuta zu schwimmen. Dabei töteten sie 15 Menschen. Im Herbst 2015 schloss das Gericht den Fall gegen 16 Polizeibeamte, die von spanischen NGOs verklagt worden waren. Um der
Tragödie von Tarajal zu Gedenken und in Solidarität mit den Migrant_innen werden in Frankreich, Deutschland, Belgien, Spanien und den Niederlanden an diesem Tag zahlreiche Aktivitäten stattfinden. Durch ihre Externalisierung der Grenzkontrollen auf den afrikanischen Kontinent, die Militarisierung des Grenzregimes und dem Bau von Mauern in Kollaboration mit den Ländern des globalen Sudens ist die Europäische Union zu einem entscheidenden Teil verantwortlich für diese Tragödie.
