Einladung zum NICHTfest für das Berliner Schloß/Humboldt-Forum am 11./12. Juni 2015
Während Menschen zu Tausenden im Mittelmeer ertrinken oder mit Gewalt abgeschoben werden, wird sich Deutschlands politisches und kulturelles Establishment am Freitag 12.6. um 12 Uhr im engen Kreis der Geladenen als weltoffen, human und liberal feiern.
Während Tausende von Gebeinen Kolonisierter aus aller Welt in den Depots der Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz lagern und seit über 100 Jahren für Forschungen missbraucht werden, wird man vom Ethos der europäischen Aufklärung und Wissenschaft und von der Gleichwertigkeit der Menschen reden.
Während Deutschland noch immer den Genozid von 1904-08 im heutigen Namibia leugnet, wird man seine “beispielhafte” Bereitschaft zur Übernahme historischer Verantwortung loben.
Während die Keller der Dahlemer Museen buchstäblich überquellen vor Schätzen, die in der Kolonialzeit nach Berlin verschifft wurden, wird man die Wertschätzung der Stadt für die Werke außereuropäischer Kulturen betonen.

Invitation to the NOpening preview of Berlin’s Palace/ Humboldt-Forum at the 11th and 12th of June 2015
While thousands of people are drowning in the Mediterranean or getting deported by force, friday 06/12 12PM a handpicked selction of germany’s cultural and political establishment will be celebrating it’s cosmopolitan, liberal and humanitarian values.
While the mortal remains of thousands of colonized people from all over the world are stored in the archives of Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz and are being misused for scientific purposes, there will be much talk of the ethos of european enlightenment and science and of all men being equal.
While Germany is still denying the genozide which happend 1904 – 1908 in what today is Namibia, there will be praise of Germany’s “exemplary” readiness to assume historic responsability.
While the basements of Dahlem’s museums are literally spilling over with treasures which were shipped to Berlin in colonial times, the appreciation and respect of the city of Berlin for the creations of non-european cultures will be highlighted.
Our international alliance „No Humboldt 21! Moratorium für das Humboldt-Forum im Berliner Schloss“ has “critically covered” this blushless project from the very beginning. Over and over we made clear that this Forum, named after Humboldt he tombraider is unbearable and we denounced the ostentation of colonial loot in the palace of the brandenburg-prussian slave mongers, colonialists and perpetrators of genocide. We always could count on the support and solidarity of more than 80 initiatives and organizations in and outside Germany – and on Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz’s repugnance.
Neither will we sit and watch in silence the topping out ceremony, we’ll be on the spot:
